Raul de Rio
Raul del Rio describes his painting style as "Modern Primitive" and combines his two main interests: Nature and Latin Heritage. His work has been published in national and international magazines, in books and reproduced in the Gift/Stationery Industry, as well as on Greeting Cards, Posters, and Calendars. His love for vibrant color and passionate design make his work exuberant and distinctive. Raul del Rio's work has been commissioned by and is affiliated with Organizations such as Greenpeace, Earth Island, Conservation International, and National Wildlife Federation. He has produced posters for The San Francisco Zoological Society, Marine World, Africa USA, The San Antonio Zoo, Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville Texas, and Cribari Wines in California. Raul del Rio has worked in the publishing business as an Illustrator, a Designer and as an Art Director and received several National awards from the Society of Illustrators In NY and California. He currently resides in Northern California, devoting his time to painting.
